BERTHA B is a 60x15m DP2 classed and FIFI-1 certified MPSV providing year-round offshore support and emergency response services with maximum reliability and efficiency, under a long-term contract until 2030 with Enagás. With a major diesel-electric conversion scheduled for 2026, BERTHA B is set to boost her efficiency, precision, and sustainability — ensuring she remains a high-performance asset for both current and future offshore projects.

ZOFF acts as full manager of the vessel, covering crewing, technical management, QHSE, certification, and all operational requirements, ensuring seamless integration with client needs and continuous 24/7 readiness.
Optimized for operational efficiency
A scheduled upgrade in early 2026 will modernize BERTHA B’s propulsion system, aligning her technical capabilities with current operational needs and future offshore requirements. This enhancement is designed to improve efficiency, sustainability and overall vessel performance, ensuring she remains well-suited for long-term DP-intensive operations.
Role in the Gaviota project
La Gaviota is a former offshore gas production facility converted into a strategic natural gas storage platform, managed by Enagás. Situated 8 km off Bermeo (Bizkaia), it plays a critical role in Spain’s energy security by providing seasonal storage capacity and demand peak management. Since 2022, BERTHA B has ensured uninterrupted offshore support for the platform. She remains on station 24/7 near the platform, departing only for scheduled fortnightly port calls to Bermeo.

BERTHA B operates with a dedicated crew and shore-based support team, ensuring consistent performance and minimal downtime. The planned propulsion upgrade in 2026 will further align her capabilities with both the technical demands of the current Gaviota contract and the wider requirements of the offshore subsea market.
